The Eurofighter EF2000 Typhoons of Task Force Air Kuwait have crossed the milestone of 7,000 flight hours in the Theater of Operations, flying more than 850 missions and performing nearly 3,000 in-flight refueling.

These activities aim to support the coalition against Daesh by providing its TACRECCE (Tactical Reconnaissance) and DCA (Defensive Counter Air) capabilities .

Task Group Typhoon , operating under the Italian National Contingent Command Air – Kuwait , has been operational in Kuwait since April 2019.

Initially based at Al Jaber Air Base , Kuwait, it moved in April 2021 to its current location at Ali Al Salem Airport .
